Fudge, Ayala Center, Cebu City

It was a very tiring week at work and I thought of rewarding myself on a weekend with delicious food and great company of a friend.

One of my closest friends, Jandy also had a long and tiring work week so we decided to catch up. We went to Ayala because it's been a long time that I haven't visited this place. I was amazed when she brought me to the newly-constructed roof deck where there are a lot of restaurants lined up for dining customers and what's even amazing was she told me that Fudge is already in Ayala and I spotted the shop right away.

After our sumptuous dinner, we both craved for desserts or was it just me, Jandy? We went straight ahead to Fudge to check out if they have a dessert buffet because we heard that they do have but it's in their A.S. Fortuna branch (sigh). However, it's alright because we still manage to satisfy ourselves with these mouth-watering treats...

The Lava Cake - Php110.00
I can say that this is one of the best lava cakes I've tasted so far. Just be very careful not to eat it right away because the core is extremely hot like a lava from a volcano. Once you've tasted it, it is surely an orgasmic explosion of chocolate in the mouth plus the vanilla ice cream compliments it all. Simply irresistible.

Carrot Cake - Php95.00
I certainly love carrot cakes and when I saw this, I immediately asked the waiter to give me one slice and I wasn't wrong in choosing this sinful pastry. According to Jandy, it is close to becoming a fruit cake because of the generous mixture of carrots, fruits and nuts. Also, the cream is so tempting that it's not too much to consume. We love this!

Calamansi Cupcake - Php50.00
I've been curious how this cupcake tastes like that's why I ordered one. The moment it touches our palate, it is heaven with a twist. It's tangy flavor is not too much and Jandy concluded that it's a happy cupcake. The icing on top in fairness is not a commercial icing but it tasted calamansi as well. This is best with coffee or tea.

Crinkles and Brownies Trifle with Baileys - Php90.00
From the name itself, it is already sinful and truly this is sinfully delicious. It's a combination of Vanilla ice cream and crushed brownies and chocolate crinkles added with Baileys Irish Cream which is an Irish whiskey and cream-based liqueur that has a declared alcohol content of 17%. That's why Jandy turned red before she consumed the entire glass. Whew! Deliciously hot.

Mint Brownies  - Php50.00
I am not really a fan of the chocolate-mint tandem but I got curious and tempted when I saw this on their chiller. I shouldn't have bought this in the first place because my perception was right, it seems like I'm eating something sweet with toothpaste in it. Jandy even joked that it's ideal to be eaten last to clean our mouth and have a fresh breath. Honestly, we didn't even consumed the entire bar. Lesson learned but you might like this if you're into it.

Presenting the five guilty pleasures for just the two of us...

And we still manage to smile and pose for the camera before we went out of this sinful pastry shop. By the way, a big thanks to Jandy for taking all the photos posted. Without your phone cam, I couldn't have posted this.

Certainly, we're going back to the Fudge to try out their meals and other dishes now that it's already near our place right, Jandy?

How about you? Have you tried any of their dishes and pastries? Share it with me.
