Kaoná Grill, Lahug, Cebu City

It's great to chill sometimes with friends after a very tiring week at work. It's nice to reward yourself with good food, cold drinks and great music in a relaxing environment.

Kaoná Grill has been around for almost a decade now. It was closed for some reasons but it was officially welcomed back in the Cebu market last July 25 with a bigger, better place and quality food. They are popularly known for their best-tasting grilled dishes and original recipes. Its concept is so relaxing because of its landscaped garden and the interior is decorated with Anahaw leaves. You will surely love the place not just the food.

It wasn't really our initial plan to have dinner at Kaoná Grill last Friday evening when we checked out the restos along Wilson Street in Lahug. However, because the place is so attractive especially at night, we wanted to check it out and seriously, they were already hungry, that's why we decided to have our dinner there.

The waiters were accommodating, the service was fast and we didn't even have to wait for longer hours. The food were served just right in time. Take a look at what we gobbled up that night.

Baked scallops with butter - Php160.00

Tuna Sinuglaw (kinilaw mixed with grilled pork belly slices giving it a smokey flavor) - Php140.00

Kaoná Pork Belly - Php120.00

Ripe Mango and Calamansi Slush - Php40.00-Php45.00
The experience was worth it and it made that evening so memorable catching up with my busy friends. It's definitely a place where you can find good food in a natural setting. Check it out and let me hear your thoughts.

  1. Before Lahug, they were in AS Fortuna, where there used to be a nice Palawan cherry tree. http://mustachioventures.blogspot.com/2013/04/cherry-blossom-tree-as-fortuna-cebu.html After Kaona left, the tree got cut down :( Anyway, I haven't eaten in Kaona for the longest time...last time was in 2010 (if I remember right). I like their pork belly :D
