La Vie Parisienne, Cebu City...Revisited!

After a very tiring day of walking, talking and catching up with my ex-housemates, we decided to go to La Vie Parisienne to relax before going home. This was also a good suggestion since Debbie, one of my closest friends who came from SG, haven't tried this French-inspired bakery-deli-wine library shop yet.

If you can still remember, I already published an article about La Vie Parisienne (post here). Thank you by the way for reading the post.

Our initial plan was to buy a bottle of wine and pair it with their cheese and croissants. Unfortunately, we forgot that it was Election Day and it was a liquor ban day. So we just settled for something that all of us were craving, their croissants and we tried something new to our palate...

Thank you Debbie for this particular photo

Mortadella Pistachio - Php100.00 / 100g
This is a large Italian sausage or cold cut made of hashed or ground pork. It is flavored with different spices and what is unique about this is the fusion of pistachio in it. This is so good and we were really hoping that night if we can have a bottle of wine to pair with it but the management sticks to the rule...it's liquor ban day. Fine!

Brie La Fontaine - Php98.00 / 100g
This is a soft cow's milk cheese that is pale in color with a slight grayish tinge under a rind of white mold. Obviously we only ordered a small portion of it, not the full wheel, since it is our first time to try it. It's not like any ordinary cheese that is so salty. This is again perfect if there's a bottle of wine.

Croissants - Php45.00 each ; Pain Choco - Php45.00 each
It was a night full of fun and laughter with good old friends. La Vie Parisienne is one special place that is never intimidating and it's a nice place to catch up with friends or even for a romantic date with your loved ones. 'Til next time!
