Big Tom's Charbroiled Burger, Cebu City

I discovered another burger place in town that I can say one of the best when it comes to accommodation, ambiance and above all...burgers!

I never heard of Big Tom's Charbroiled Burgers before until me and my friends saw it when we were heading to a chicken house. We were supposed to eat lunch somewhere but I got curious when I noticed this simple establishment. They've been in the market for quiet awhile now but only for deliveries but glad to know they opened their humble establishment last September of this year and they are still on their soft opening.

I admired how the people in this place were trained by the management because they were so pleasant. They were still close when we get there and we have to wait for around 15 minutes before they will open but the waitress let us in and welcomed us with a big smile. Even thier guard is so polite and smiling. Kudos!

We even met the owner, Mr. Durano who was so nice and hospitable. A true example of a Filipino value. He offered us coffee and all were in the house. We were really impressed right away imagining that the coffee was part of their menu.

I was amazed by the concept of this burger shop because it was simply arranged and decorated. It was neat and unique and the interior is uncomplicated. The establishment's name is the first thing you'll notice when you get inside this 50-seater burger shop. They are using blackboards for their menu which is practical. They can easily erase and change if they need to update it.

I was even amazed how they made use of the empty jars as part of their decoration. Take a look at the photo below. Amazing eh?

I noticed how meticulous the owner is when it comes to the presentation not only to his burgers but also to its interior design. I appreciate how they educated the public about how their burgers are made...freshly ground meat, not frozen and handmade daily. You can guarantee its freshness.

Now let's talk about the main characters of this shop...their burgers. Here are our orders:

Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger - P175.00 (4oz./115 grams/4" bun),     P215.00 (6oz./170 grams/5" bun

My friend, Alic of Alic In Wonderland loves this burger because of its juicy and tasty patty plus the bacon that was generously distributed inside it. Because everybody loves bacon, we recommend this.

The Jalapeño Kick - P165.00 (4oz./115 grams/4" bun),             Php205.00 (6 oz./170 grams/5" bun)
This is the perfect jalapeño cheeseburger for "heat-lovers". Looking at the ingredients, this is really perfect for those who love to munch a very hot green chilli pepper. This is so Mexican. My friend, B loves this so much and even consumed it in 10 minutes. Right, B? Whew, that was hot!

Deluxe Cheeseburger - Php150.00 (4 oz./115 grams/4" bun),       Php190.00 (6 oz./170 grams/5" bun)

This is what I ordered. I loved how generous the veggies were distributed on the bun. Large red tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and their house spread plus the juicy patty made this burger so special. Thumbs up!

All of their burgers are charbroiled and you can really taste and smell that it's grilled perfectly and it is served with an individual knife on a big chopping board with crispy french fries as a side dish. The plating is just adorable.

We don't have regrets of trying Big Tom's burger afterall. The experience was worth-it and we really saw the value of our money.

What are you waiting for? Go now and try the juiciest burger in the Queen City of the South and let me hear your thoughts. Check them out on Facebook as well.
